What is a centrifugal fan?

Centrifugal fans are fluid machines that rely on the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of an impeller to draw gas in axially and discharge it radially.


Core Working Principle

A motor drives the impeller to rotate at high speed, and the blades cause the gas to move in a circular motion.

Under the action of centrifugal force, the gas is thrown towards the edge of the impeller and enters the volute casing.

The gas velocity decreases and the pressure increases inside the casing, eventually being discharged from the outlet.
